Steps to Renew Your License:
Complete your continuing education requirement.
Renew you license directly with the State of Illinois. This requires timely payment of bi-annual licensing fees.
The continuing education courses you have completed will count towards your requirements for Step 1.
Real Estate Salesperson licenses are due for renewal on April 30, every odd-numbered year (ie. 2009, 2011, etc.) Real Estate Broker licenses are due for renewal on April 30, every even-numbered year (ie. 2008, 2010, etc.)
Approximately 90 days before your renewal, you should receive correspondence from the State of Illinois with instructions for renewal of your license. Online renewals, duplicate renewal forms, and additional information are available at the State’s website.
